Central Dansoman Clinic started on 1st September 1977 by Dr. Horatio Atom Beecham .Dr. Beecham is a trained surgeon who studied in the United Kingdom and Canada and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and West Africa College of Surgeons .

Following his study overseas he subsequently returned to work in Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and to teach in the University of Ghana Medical School .Due to frustrations at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital ,he finally stopped working and started the Central Dansoman Clinic which was the first private clinic in Dansoman.

His compassion, empathy, work ethics, professionalism and extreme kindness saw the Clinic grow to become the busiest private Clinic in the Ablekuma West District prior to the advent on the National Health Insurance.

To develop a Clinic that will become the Center Of Excellence in the provision of both general and specialized health services using professionally competent, motivated and responsible staff who recognize the dignity of man and use modern equipment ,tools and technology to provide quality, acceptable and affordable healthcare.

Dr. Beecham also served on the Board of the Medical and Dental Council for several years during his practice and as an executive of the Private Medical and Dental Practitioners Ghana and held many other influential board positions.

On 30th June 2019 Dr. Beecham decided to bring his clinical practiced to a close after forty two years of excellent clinical practice and handed over the clinic to Dr. Joseph Bennin, a specialist physician who he had operated on at age two years at the Central Dansoman Clinic and whose family he had been a family doctor to for nearly four decades.

On 6th September 2019 the clinic metamorphosed into Central Dansoman Clinic Limited under a new management headed by Dr. Joseph Bennin.
