We will examine you as quick as possible &#8211; average waiting time is 15 minutes.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;What happens if I am a new patient?&#8221; el_id=&#8221;1447064451796-0645cbf1-8947&#8243;]You may have referred yourself, have been referred by another specialist or by Medical Insurance.\u00a0We will discuss your problem and ask about your medical history. A thorough examination will then follow.\u00a0We may request examinations and tests to assist and support our diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>Laboratory test will be performed with no delay in the same building. If you have previous examinations and tests related to your current condition, please bring those along to the consultation. Also bring any copies of letters from other doctors or recent medication. It will help us to help you.<\/p>\n<p>We will discuss with you the results of your examinations and we will recommend the proper treatment. Some conditions may be faced immediately by conservative or surgical treatment. In case you need surgery requiring general anesthesia, we arrange routine or urgent transfer or to your preferred destination (subject to stable medical condition). You will be required to\u00a0 have a face mask on, covering your nose and mouth before you are allowed entry .You will be welcomed by friendly nurses at our reception desk. Explain to them it is your first time at the clinic. They will let you know whether you may require a Clinic card for the service you want or not. All appointments to see a doctor will require that you fill a registration form and have a card generated for you and show you where to proceed from there. You can make your registration \u00a0payments by MTN MoMo and do your Clinic card online\u00a0 this greatly reduces your waiting time. At CD clinic you do not need a referral from your General Practitioner to see any of our Specialist. Making a card online greatly reduces your waiting time at the clinic. You will however be required pick your card before seeing a Doctor.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Am an expatriate and I do not speak English can I be attended to at your clinic?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes. At CD clinic we see patients from around the globe, we however require an appointment to help you us book a translator for the specific language you speak.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Am coming to the Premarital clinic can I come alone?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes. You can come alone and have your preliminary testing or exam before coming with your fianc\u00e9e or partner, but we advise coming together as these raises trust issues among will be couples.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How can I get a medical report?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you need a medical report kindly ask the doctor attending to you who will then write out your report and ask you to pick it up at the reception desk. Medical reports usually take between 1-3 working days to write. You can come for a test if it has been requested outside of our Clinic. You can request for a personal hard copy or a request for your labs to be sent via email or WhatsApp. You may be required to fill a consent form to have this done for you at no extra charge.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;I want a Covid test can I come to your Clinic?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We do not do elective Covid test for now. We however decide with our health partners to offer screening for you if you have symptoms or meet criteria for doing so.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Am a foreign National is there any formality or separate Registration I need to do?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No there is no separate registration for foreign Nationals. You will however need all the necessary information to do a clinic card if you have not done it online.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Do you accept all local private and foreign health insurance at CD Clinic.&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes. We accept some local private health insurance cards but no foreign health insurance for now, we do not however accept NHIS cards. You may also request for a telemedicine consult via any of our online portals.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Do you accept foreign currency?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes, we accept foreign currency at prevailing bank rate.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Can I register my company or family for credit medical care?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes ,You can register all your family or company staff at the administration this allows\u00a0 them to receive medical care and at the end of the month bills will be sent to you for payment. Breast cancer screening is free but you will be required to pay for fees for cervical cancer screening for your samples to be taken to the lab. Depending on your test results the Doctor or nurse may recommend you see a doctor.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Fear of contracting Covid 19 at the clinic what do I do?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CD Clinic is the safest place to visit during this Covid \u00a0pandemic. Our strict adherence to Infection\u00a0 prevention and control protocols ensures highest level of safety for you during your clinic visit. Family and friends may visit you at any time during your admission. At certain times however there may be restrictions on the number of visitors a patient is entitled to.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;I want to book for my surgery now what do I do?&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You will still be required to make a card even if you have been referred to see the surgeon directly from another clinic.
